Salamander have completed the design, construction & conversion of three separate buildings at Applesham Farm near Lancing. One of the buildings (pictured) makes the most of a tight situation by using the columns of an existing building and then extending new columns upwards to make the new barn tall enough for significant bale storage. The second of the projects is a conversion of an existing steel framed barn into two light industrial units (bottom left) whilst retaining the existing historical features and blending the new work into the yard scape. The third project is an extension of an existing cattle shed which has involved significant demolition and groundwork to again make the best use of the space around the existing barn. Since undertaking these projects we have been back to the farm to undertake a number of other commissions including the fixing of a large sinkhole that opened up next to the main residence.
