SERVICES

Salamander provides a full range of services for both new developments and renewal projects, covering every aspect of the project lifecycle from initiation to completion.

DESIGN

We love being involved in projects from the outset and contribute to the feasibility in respect to the business case and the practical implementation. We use technology to bring our client’s ideas to life with design tools such as AutoCAD and Revit. We visit the site to undertake measured surveys to develop plans and elevations which are then shared to take the right design into the planning / construction process.

PLANNING

Our team have a wealth experience in the planning process. We prepare and submit applications on behalf of our clients as well as working with 3rd party architects. We advise on issues such as permitted development and listed building consent, prior approvals and full planning applications. We have good knowledge of building regulations and can either appoint or work with the chosen building control officer.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Construction projects are often a complex mix of 3rd party liaison, procurement, programming and cost management. Our team have the skills to bring these challenges together, having many years of experience in delivering large, multifaceted and successful projects across different sectors.

DEMOLITION

Where construction projects start with the need to remove existing structures that can’t be renewed, we have the equipment, skills and experience to undertake tasks on structures of all sizes. With our principal focus on health and safety, we carry out full risk assessments to the site and will project manage environmental impact surveys where necessary. We aim to recycle around 90% of all demolition arisings.

GROUND WORKS

We are able to undertake the full range of groundwork activities. Our services range from significant excavation works where the ground needs to be removed, moved or built up, to all other aspects of groundworks including foundations, drainage, ditching, ground improvement and piling.

CONSTRUCTION

We undertake the full range of both substructure and superstructure construction services. We can complete projects using many different construction styles including prefabrication of both steel and wooden structures from our workshop and yard in Steyning. We look to incorporate the most sustainable solutions that maximise the energy efficiency of each building and always ensure health and safety is taken into account at every stage of construction.

FIT OUT

Once the superstructure has been completed we continue into the fit-out stage of the project, according to the client’s requirements. We ensure that all aspects of the finish are of the highest quality, always looking to incorporate technology to make the management of the building as simple and efficient as possible. We undertake all aspects of electrical, mechanical and public health work on our projects.

LANDSCAPING

Once the building work has been completed there is often the requirement to complete both hard and soft landscaping. We undertake the full range of landscaping services and can make sure that both your new building and its surroundings are completed to the highest quality.

AGRICULTURAL CONTRACTING

Due to our background of agriculture we run our own farms as well as undertaking contract farming for other clients. We can undertake the full scope of arable related services with a particular focus on combining where we have 3 modern combines with yield monitoring and mapping capabilities.
